TALK TO US

Mine is a Kolkata-to-Dilli story.

A Modernite and a graduate of Loreto Kolkata, in English Honours. The two years that I spent pursuing my Masters at Miranda House, Delhi University is when I became a regular audience at N.S.D. and that's when I realized what I really wanted to do.

I completed the three year Diploma in Acting course at National School of Drama in 2017, and am currently an actor at the National School of Drama Repertory Company.

Theatre for me is the Magic of Storytelling, it is what brings us nearer to the Truth about ourselves.

I grew up in Sipajhar, Assam, and by the time I was doing my graduation, I had felt the need to give expression to my passion for the theatre of the people. Consequently I founded the group called GANATAAL.

My commitment to a people's theatre took more definite shape in 2012, when I became a recipient of the Scholarship For Young Artists, Ministry of Culture, to pursue a research oriented  study of the semi-theatrical folk form of Assam called "Ojhapali".

I graduated from the National School of Drama with a specialization in Acting, in 2017, and am currently an actor at the N.S.D. Repertory Company.

Without Experimentation and Innovation, life is meaningless. When I tried to give meaning to my life, I found myself doing Theatre. Living life and doing Theatre is one and the same for me.
